Enkian Games was started by Jordan Allen in 2014 when he first conceived of his project Enki Adventures, a roguelike action-adventure game in the style of the topdown Zelda games. After working on some of the early art and story, he brought on the talents of Nick Johnson to program Enki Adventures. Lloyde Sorrow then joined the team to provide the fantasy music.
When Enki Adventures slowed down due to work and school commitments, Jordan began working on Tale of Enki: Pilgrimage. This game was more like an old school RPG influenced by a combination of Dragon Quest, EarthBound and the Baldur's Gate series of games. Lloyde Sorrow composed the enchanting music once again and Howard Ross joined the project as the programmer that puts all of the pieces in place.
